The Somerset Hotel is a 30-room boutique city hotel in the middle of Malé, on Keneree Magu next to the National Museum and Sultan Park.

GETTING THERE

A complimentary round-trip airport transfer is included, and the drive from Velana International Airport (MLE) across the Sinamalé bridge takes about 15 to 20 minutes.

THE ROOMS

Rooms range from city-facing Superior and Deluxe Double or Twin rooms to Executive Superior rooms, a Family Suite with a separate living room and sofa bed, and the Premier Business Suite with its own balcony. All rooms have inverter air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a coffee machine, a minibar, a safe and free WiFi.

FOOD & FACILITIES

Belle Amie Bistro, the hotel's ground-floor restaurant, serves local and international dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and there is a small covered coffee corner at street level. Room service runs until midnight, laundry service is available, and the building has a lift.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

The National Museum and Sultan Park are next door, the waterfront is a few minutes' walk, and the Old Friday Mosque (Hukuru Miskiy) and the fish market are about five minutes away. Majeedhee Magu, the city's main shopping street, is close by.

Sightseeing stays in the historic centre, with the museum district on the doorstep and the city's main sights within a short walk.

GOOD TO KNOW

As Malé is an inhabited island, the hotel does not serve alcohol. Whether breakfast at Belle Amie Bistro is included depends on the rate you book. Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out is at 12:00.
